 Traineeship in Human Resources (in translation agency)

Xplanation Language Services is currently looking for a trainee in translation vendor management (HR) in its headquarters in Belgium for a minimum period of 5 or  6 months.

There is one position for starting in July  and another for starting in November (dates are flexible).

Your profile:

- You are a student

- Your university/university college is willing to sign a traineeship agreement

- You have excellent communication skills, in speaking and writing (excellent level of English)

- Foreign languages are an asset

- You study languages/translation/communication

- You are familiar with Microsoft Office, as well as with the Internet

- Basic knowledge of project management tools is a plus

- Assertive sales/negotiation skills

- You are a sociable person and you like to work in a team

- You are motivated, eager to learn, cope well with stress and tight deadlines, and are comfortable working in a multilingual environment

Your tasks:

-         General translation vendor management:

Recruiting and assessing freelance translators and appointing qualified translation partners to assignments according to the EN-15038 European Quality Standard for Translation. The candidate must prioritize while working with deadline-driven projects.

-         Maintaining database of vendor information

-         Interact with many language professionals in person, via phone/email

-         Work  alongside project managers to manage and resolve pricing and other vendor issues

Our offer:

We offer a varied traineeship in our vendor management team in a multilingual environment. Our trainees (for a full-time traineeship of at least 3 months) receive 300 EUR/month for accommodation for the first 3 months. If trainees do not receive an Erasmus grant, we offer them 500 EUR/month for the remaining period of the traineeship following a positive evaluation.
